Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Tuesday,
May 24-, 1988 at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

Resolution j 08-88 ~was passed as follows:
" That the minutes of a Special Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held
on May 3 and the minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council held on May 10, 1988
be adopted".

ments for continued use of the Old Coldwater Road.

" That the tender of Seeley & Arnill Aggregates in the amount of $56,110.00 be
accepted for the supply, delivery and application of 12,000 gaUons of HF 150, 100
tons of 3/8" stone chips and load, delivery and spread of 5/8" gravel".

$225.93 per ton
Norjohn Limited did not tender on calcium but acN ised Council that they had a new
asphalt control agent for testing. Council directed the Clerk obtain more information.
Resolution 88-1 U_was passed as follows:
" That the quotation of Pollard Brothers Ltd. in the amount of $225.93 per ton be
accepted for the supply and delivery of 100 flake equivalent tons of 35% calcium
chlor ide solution".
Mr. c:. BiE;E;s -a.J:ld. Mr. L. Biggs approached Council regarding maintenance of Drain II 1.
They advised Council that they had tile drained their fields since the last engineer's
report in 1969 and did not feel they should pay for that portion. Council advised them
that no changes could be made without a new engineer's report. Council directed the

Clerk contact the Ministry of Agriculture and Food to see if grants were available for
Engineer's report.
~.aelLapproached Council and requested the reconsider their decision nto to give
a donation. Council advised Mr. Bell that it was their policy not to donate taxpayers funds
towards projects or associations towards which the individual taxpayer could donate if
they wished.

" That Council approves of a grant in the amount of $25.00 to the East Simcoe
Plowman's Association".

discussion regarding a summer schedule for Council meetings. It was
decided to drop the second meeting for the months of June and July.
