09 27 1988 Council Minutes THE CORPORA nON OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Tuesday, September 27, 1988 at 8:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone. Resolution 88-220 was passed as follows: " That the minutes of a regular meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on September 13, 1988 and the minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held on September 19, 1988 be adopted as printed and circulated". ~ . J) Mr. D. Bachly,,,.,presented Council with an updated concept plan for his subdivision pt. Lot 15, Con. 8. A. McNair presented a report to Council outlining some concerns regarding the development. The Planner recommended the developer proceed to prepare a Draft Official Plan Amendment and Council directed Mr. Bachly to do so. 2) Mr. H. Picbler presented a revised plan for his development, part of lot 6, con. 6 for a 25 lot development based on the Estate Rural principals. Council made a small change to the lot lines between lots 4- & 5 and advised Mr. Pichler to begin preparation of his Official Plan Amendment. Mr. Pichler asked if Council would consider his creating three lots by severance to later be incorporated into the plan and Council refused this request. 3) Mr. G. Kno2L of Ainley & Associates presented a preliminary plan for development for Mr. G. Newton, Pt. Lot 56, Con. 1, ViHage of HiHsdale. Council expressed concern over the proposed plan with regard to road pattern and cul-de-sacs. ~ . Resolution 88-221 was passed as follows: " That a By-Law to provide for the erection of Stop Signs be considered read a first and second time, read a third time and passed this 27th day of September, 1988 and numbered By-Law 88-25". R\ JS1NFSS.~ t 1) Council was advis.ed..by the Liquor Licence Board of Ontario of an application by Orr Lake Golf Course for reclassification from Recreation Facility to a Restaurant and additional Dining Lounge Facilities. Council to advise the Board that there may be a conflict with the Zoning By-Law. 2) Resolution 88-222 wa~ passed as follows: " That Council of the Township of Medonte supports the request of the Horseshoe Valley Property Owner's Association to have a speed limit reduction to 70 Km. of County Road 1/ 22 in the Horseshoe Valley area". ~) Coun<;jLJ:gyiewecL..a proposal by an Engineer regarding severance on the land on Mr. E. Thurlow. It was noted that surface drainage for the lots would be by means of a ditch across the property. Council has no objections to this as long as notice is placed on title to all lots that the ditch will not be the responsibility of the Municipality and each landowner will be responsible for maintaining the portion on their property. 4) Resolution gg-22J was passed as follows: " That Council of the Township of Medonte has no objection to the changes to the Joint Agreement for the operation. manangement and maintenance of the Coldwater & District Communitv Centre as outlined in a letter under date of september 27, 1988 Page two THE CORPORA nON OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE BUSINESS ( Cont.) September 2, 1988". - c 4-) Resolution 88.,,224- was passed as follows: II That Council approves of retaining an Ontario Land Surveyor to survey the lot m Hillsdale before the new fire hall is built". Council then discl,J;>se.d the proposed Fenwick Official Plan Amendment. They directed the Clerk advise Mr. Fenwick and his Planning Consultant that they are prepared to adopt his amendment when it contains the information as requested on two occasions by the Township Planner and if the reports were satisfactory. - ..yJlr~~--Plec.es of correspondence, reports and letters were presented as infomational, discussed and filed.
