THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE
Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Tuesday,
October 27, 1987 at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone, Ontario

, Resolution 87.=lQ5-was passed as follows:
" That the minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of theTownship of Medonte held on
October 1 3, and the minutes of Special Meetings of Council held on October 15 and
October 20 be adopted as printed and circulated".

_~ou_ncil lIl~.:Lwith the Roads Superintendent. It was decided to complete the flashing on
the work's garage and install the windows and doors required.
/eouncil directed the Clerk contact the gravel contractor to do the gravel as soon as
possible.
COllncil direill~d-.:Lbe.~ Clerk advise Mr. L. Horne that he should finish the ditch job along
MilL Street under the supervision of the Roads Superintendent.
_ ResolutiorL.8.1~~yvas passed as follows:
" That Mr. G. Boyd be appointed as Roads Foreman to act in the absence of the
Superintendent; and that his hourly rate be increased by $.20 per hour effective
October 28, 1987".

fees and fee in lieu of parkland the development agreement was signed.
..~ILeas.ure[ supplied Council with a financial statement. There was a
discussion on how things stood to date and it was agreed that Council would receive update
statements for the second meeting in November and December.

" That a By-Law to appoint a Roads Superintendent for the Township of Medonte
be considered read a first and second time, read a third time and passed this
13th day of October, 1987 and numbered By-Law 87-22".

" That a By-Law to establish a Reserve Fund for the purpose of rehabilitating
gravel pits in the Township of Medonte be considered read a first and second
time, read a third time and passed this 27th day of October, 1987 and numbered
By-Law 87-23".

- "That Council request their member of Parliament contact the Ministry of Tourism
and Recreation to obtain funding under Ontario Regulation 517 for the year 1987".

That Council approved of the plans of the Developers to phase development of
Plan M-l Oland M-123 but will require that the pumps, pump house and reservoir
must be constructed with the first phase".

" That Council approves of and directs the Fire Chief work with the Medonte East
Central School Parent's Association to provide for the initial flooding of the outdoor
rink proposed for the Moonstone School".

5.) Resolution 87-313 was passed as follows:
11 That Council approves of a payment of $136.50 to Mr. E. Goss for maintenance of
Steele Memoriall1.

" That Council approves of deeding Block "A", PLan M-99 to Mrs. Martin so she
can foreclose and register the land in her namel1.

7) Resolutiol} 87.=..1..L2 was passed as follows:
" That Council approves of the outright purchase of a new telephone system from
Bell Canada at an estimate of $3,431.0011.
1) Council receLY..e..d a request from Mrs. Ryan for an extension of the Warminster Water
System. Clerk to check with the Ministry of the Environment. If a 6 inch main is
required it is to be installed at owner's expense.
2) Council directed the Clerk advise those who applied for building inspector's job that
Council was deferring decision at this time.
/ 3) Council directed the Clerk advise the Health Unit that they were not In a position
to assume the Tile Beds in Horseshoe Valley.
