Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Tuesday,
April 25, 1989 at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

If That the minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council held on April 11, and the minutes
of a Special Meeting of Council held on April 19, beadoptednzrs printed

no plans for realignment of Highway 93 through Hillsdale.

the hydrogeologic work at the Township Waste Site.
3) Resolution 89-90 was passed as follows:
" That Council of the Township of Medonte endorses Resolution 89-07-02 of
the Township of Lavant, Dalhousie & North Sherbrooke".
~~. 4) Council received a letter from the Law Firm of Graham, Wilson & Green regarding
a proposed water bottling business in the Township. Council directed the Clerk
contact the Solicitors for more information.

for preparation of a site plan for the Township Waste Site upon completion of
the hydrogeological study presently being done by Gartner Lee.
,-1)) The Clerk presented Council with a report on their Spring Road's Tour held on
April 14 and April 21, 1989. Council reviewed various proposals for development
and directed the Clerk adv ise the parties of their decision.

Miss Chantel Redstone of Rosewood Shelter for Women and Children approached Council
to explain the shelters function and outline its programs. She asked Council to consider
a grant in the amount of $840.00 towards the implimentation of a Women's Support
Group Counselling Program. Council deferred decision to budget.
Mr. Fred Schinners of Ward Mallette, Township Auditors presented Council with their
financial report for the year 1988.
~ Clerk contact the Ministryof Culture and Recreation regarding grants.
,2) Council reviewed a notification from the Ministry of Transportation of a supplementary
allocation of $70,000.00 towards the purchase of a grader. Council directed the Clerk
call tenders for the purchase of a grader.
;3.), Council directed the Clerk contact the Moonstone Hall Committee and ask them to
secure the Moonstone Hallcaw to submit a plan for renovation to Council.
4) Council directed the Trea:i;orer prepare a preliminary budget for Council's May 9 Meeting.
