10 10 1989 Council Minutes THE CORPORATION OF THE 'IDWNSHIP OF MEroNTE Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Tuesday, October 10, 1989 at 1:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone. Present Reeve Deputy Reeve Councillors I. H. - J. - N. - C. Amos Vasey Patterson Dalziel Hall ~ ~-B~J3Q. was passed as follows: " That the minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on September 26, 1989 be adopted as printed and circulated". Council met with Township Roads Superintendent Mr. G. Ball. ~ Co~ of Mr. A. Bell retaining one week of his 1989 Holidays to be used in 1990. Co.uncil"aw~CLQL.going on a Fall Roads Tour on October 31, 1989 to prepare for the 1990 Roads Budget. Council discussed appointing Mr. Ball as the Township Drainage Superintendent. Eesolu:tiQIL8.2=12l was passed as follows: " That a By-Law to appoint a Drainage Superintendent be considered read a first and second time, read a third time and passed this lOth day of October and number By-Law 89-20". ~~ 89-192 was passed as follows: " That Council approves of a salary to Mr. G. Ball in the amount of $100.00 per month for performing the duties of Drainage Superintendent". ..J~ Council met with Mr. G. Cassell and Mr. B. Murrant of Site Design Services who presented a request for a rezoning and severance to allow for the construction of an Industrial Building. ~ 3esolution 89-193_was passed as follows: " That Council approves of Harvey Cassell Ltd. proceeding with a rezoning from Highway Corrmercial (C2) to General Industrial M( 2)" . ~ ..,2.L._l::lI:.~e Hunb3r of the Huronia Museum approached Council regarding the preparation of mapping showing the known archeological sites within the Township. He explained that the Museum was non profit and required $500.00 in order to do the work. He advised Council it would take six months to prepare the mapping. Council had no problem with the concept of using this information but did not feel they should be responsible for the costs. They advised him they would consider his request in next years Budget. As no one seemed to be interested in upgrading or using the Hall Council decided to demolish it. ~ .ResolutioYl 89-:::J...2.2 was passed as follows: " That Council tender for the demolation and removal of the Moonstone Corrmunity Hall" . It was agreed to meet with representatives of Pine Ridge Ski Club regarding snow making and to control lawn watering in the summer. Council that he had been advised by the Ministry of the Environment that their application for grant towards their recycling program had been recorrmended for payment.
