Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on February 14, 198(
in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

J3.esolutiQn 89-30 was passed as follows:
" That the minutes of a Regular Meeting .of Council of the Township of Medonte held on
January 23, 1989;
And that minutes of Special Meetings of Council held on January 24 and February 7, 1989
be adopted as printed and circulated".

.Resolution 89-31 was passed as fallows:
" That Council of the Township of Medonte petItIOns the Ministry of Transportation for
subsidy of their 1989 Program .of Expenditures in the amount of $799,000.00".
. ,Resolution 89-32 was passed as follows:
" That Council of the Township of Medonte petItIOns the Ministry .of Transportation for
a Supplementary Allocation in the amount of $140,000.00 for the purchase of a grader,
And Council requests the Province increase the subsidy rate for this purchase".
"Resolution 89-33 was passed as follows:
" That a By-Law ta regulate the erection, alteration, construction or movement of buildings
be considered read a first and second time, read a third time and passed this 14th day
of February, 1989 and numbered By-Law 89-04".
1) Cmmril met with Shari Drinkwater, Trustee, Police Village of Hillsdale, and Mr. Paul
Sauve, Maple Leaf Dispasal. Ms. Drinkwater reque~ted Mr. Sauve, who is collecting
garbage for the Police Village be given a key to the Township Waste Site as he plans
his collections for Friday afternoon. Council directed the Clerk cantact the Ministry
of Environment to obtain their feelings and advised Mr. Sauve he could have a key if
they have no objections.

2) Reeve John Moreau .of Port McNicoll and Robert Morton, Adminstrator, Home far Aged,
approached Council requesting permission to have the materials from a Home for
Aged in Penetanguishene which is being torn down placed in the Township Waste Site. ThE
advised Council they would be prepared to enter into an agreement with the Township.
Council set a special meeting for February 24, 1989 at 10:00 A.M. at the waste site to
laok into the passibilities and directed the Clerk have someone from the Ministry of the
Environment attend.

3) Mrs. Wi Ison And Mrs. Tinney of the Eady-Grenard Women's Institute approached Council
to see if any plans had been made towards a recycling program for the Township. Counc
advised them that they are working towards having a program in place for January 1, 195
of Reid & Associates and Mr. S. Usher of Gartner Lee & Associates
approached Council with regard to preparatian of a site plan at the Waste Site. Mr. Ush
advised Council that he wished to proceed with desk top survey of the site and gather an
review existing materials re well records etc. He estimated this would take 6 weeks. H
would then repoJJt back to Council on a program .of drilling on the property! which could
carr ied out over the summer. A completed hydrogeological report could be ready by
December. Reids could then use this information to prepare a site plan. The estimates
given for this work were in the range of $30,000.00
Resolution 89-1Lwas passed as follows:
" That Cauncil authorize Gartner Lee & Associates proceed with Phase one of their
study of the Medonte Waste Site and report back to Council".

21 Mr:, -H. RobinsofLrnet with Council to advise them that he wishes to proceed with
development on his property in Moonstone. Council noted that an Official Plan Amendment
would be required. It was decided to do nothing until the Official Plan Amendment Public
Meeting for Mr. Bachly was held on March 14, 1989.

" That Council of the Township of Medonte endorses Resolution 88-394 of the Town
of Iroquois Falls and requests the Province of Ontario provide funding for the retrofit of
Municipal facilities".

" That Council approves of a proposed revised Fire Agreement with the Township of
Flos and authorizes the Reeve and Clerk execute the Agreement".

of a second residential unit on his property".

concession 1, which would entail his construction of a road allowance. Council directed
the Clerk advise Mr. Horne that they did not require any additional road allowance to
maintain and that his proposal did not contain sufficient information for Council.

" That Road's Voucher II 1 in the amount of $61,329.46 IS hereby approved for payment".
2) Resolution 82::39. was passed as follows:
" That General Voucher II 2 in the amount of $74,791.51 is hereby approved for payment".

" That Council directs their Planning Consultants proceed with the preparation of a
new zoning by-law for the Township;
and Council requests that the Clerk apply to the Province of Ontario for Grants under
the Housing Intensification Program and the Community Planning Program".

terms of the Subdivision Agreement".
