02 28 1989 Council Minutes THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on February 28, 1989 at 1 :00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone. Present Reeve - I. Amos Deputy Reeve- H. Vasey Councillors- J. Patterson - N.Dalziel - C.) Hall ~ _R~~~.was passed as follows: " That the minutes of a meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on February 14, 1989 be adopted as printed and circulated". . Council met with Mr. G. Ball, Township Road's Superintendent. ~ , Cmlnril reviewed the 19 applications for the Truck Driver's job recently adwertised. Council picked out 5 people for the road's Superintendent to interview and test driving skills and asked him to report back to Council with recommendations. j;:ouncil dis<:u~,?~.Q tenders and directed tenders be called for gravel, sand, calcium and surface treatment, tenders to close on March 28 at 12:00 Noon. The Clerk reported on a meeting held regarding crossing protection at the 7th Concession and C.P.R. He adr ised that the National Transportation Agency is recommending flashers and requested Council put traffic control signs at the Crossing as an interim measure. . Willsey of the OriIlia Convention and Visitor's Association presented Council with a request for a grant in the amount of $500.00. Council requested Mr. Horne file a formal request for rezoning of the parcel and if this goes through Council would look at requests for severance and servicing as required. ~ 3~Mr,.K..~B.!JLr1iLdge. of Robin Crest Developments ( 678407 Onto Ltd.) met with Council .of discuss their development. They advised Council at what point the servicing of both plans M- J Oland M- J 23 were at and outlined their plans for completion. They request Council allow occupancy of lots 8 and 12, Plan M-123, although the final servicing has not yet been completed. . Council decided to take no action. Reeve advise the County Road's Department to change the meeting regarding assumption of the 3rd Concession from March 14- to April 11. Council directed the Clerk advise Mrs. Gordon that her plans were premature at this time and that they would not consider any further development by severance; .~~~a request for development by Mr. B.Rawson and directed the Clerk adv ise him that they wished to discuss the matter with their Planner. request for development by Mr. W.
