Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on August 22,1989
at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

" That the minutes of a regular meeting of Council held on July 11,1 989 and the minutes of a
Special Meeting of Council held on July 21, 1989 and the minutes of two Special Meetings
held on July 28,1989 be adopted as printed and circulated".

. Council met with Mr. G. Ball, Township Road's Superintendent.
Council asked Mr. Ball to report back as to required improvements to the intersection of the
Old Coldwater Road and the Mt. St. Louis Road.
Council directed Mr. Ball to find the exact location of the ROad:. AHowance in front of Mr.
Hunter's property on the 4th Concession and report back.

/Resolution 89-liL was passed as follows:
" That Council of the Township of Medonte endorses a resolution of the Township of Essa
regarding notification under the Pesticides Act".
".The Clerk presente.d...a request from the Ministry of Transportation for a Wayside Pit Permit on
their property, Part Lot 20, Concession 13".

" That Council approves of the Ministry of Transportation operating a Wayside Pit on their
property, Pt. Lot 20, Con. 13, to remove a stockpile of 1500 yards of material".
Council gpprovecL.of accepting two parcels of land from the Ministry of Transportation, being
parts 2 & 3, Plan P-3346-150.
~Council receive.cL.a-resignation from Mr. Barry MacInnes from his position as Truck Driver/Labourer
effective August 22, 1989 due to medical reasons. As Council had only adr ertised the position
in April it was decided to hire a replacement from the same group of applicants.

" That Council approve of hiring Mr. Rayburn MacIndoo as Truck Driver/Labourer to be on
a probationary period for tflree months from date of hire".

Council then disrtlssed the Bailey Bridge, pt. lot 12, con. 8 and a report frorrJ the engineer under
date of July 4, 1989.
Resolutio!:L..8~as passed as follows:
" That Council advise the Ministry of Transportation that they will be replacing the temporary
Bailey Bridge, Pt. Lot 12, Con. 8, with a culvert structure.
And that this work will be done in 1991 at the earliest;
And that Council will be petitioning for supplementary funding to offset the costs".

the road from the Township Waste Site. They directed the Clerk advise them that they were
within 500 metres of the Waste Site and not eligible for severance.

" That Council of the Township of Medonte endorses a res.QQution of the Township of Howick
which requests that all pesticide and herbicide containers be returnable and recyclable".
7) Resolution 82::.L.5-R was passed as follows:
If That Council approves of the amendments to the site plan for the licenced pit, pt. lot 7,
con. 3 as outlined in a letter to the Ministry under date of July 24, 1989".
