THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE
Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Tuesday,
September 26, 1989 at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

" That the rrinutes of a Regular Meeting of Council held on September 12, and the
minutes of a Special Meeting held on September 21 be adopted as printed and
circulatedfl.

The Clerk advised Council that he had complied with the provisions of the Municipal Act
in that Notice of the proposed By-Law was run in the Orillia Packet & Times on August
29, September 5, 12 & 19 and that notice was posted in the Municipal Office and in the
vicinity of the Road. The County of Simcoe was contacted and had no objections. The
Clerk advised that no one had contacted him to object to the sale. There were no
objections in attendance at the meeting.

KJ;i!Ul-AR MEETING
1) )YlL~.~~~r.!J:QH~ approached Council regarding a severance of his property in Hillsdale.
Council advised him to make an application to the Committee of Adjustment.

,~.l?~n.~..wl!;;b~L~::_~~bL~1!r approached Council regarding house construction, Part Lot 15
Con 4. He advised that he had been told he needed a 4.5 metre setback from the 3rd
Concession Road Allowance and had done his excavation based on that. He was then
told that he really required a 7.5 metre setback and requested Council allow him to
continue construction while applying for a Minor Variance. Council stated they had no
objection to the variance but construction could not proceed until the paper work was
completed. Mr. Wichers-Schreur advised Council he was unable to wait and that he would
have more excavation done in order to comply and that he would be seeking compensation.

two lots at Orr Lake which would require a zoning change as the lots would not have
frontage on a roadway but would access by a registered right of way. Council advised
Mr. Ewart that they were not in agreement with the proposal and would not give an
application for rezoning a favourable response.

of Mr. Brown's property, PT Lot l6 Con 10. They proposed a two fold development
having 6 one acre lots and 6 lots of over 2 acres each. The proposal would require an
official Plan Amendment, Plan of Subdivision and rezoning. Council advised Mr. Lehman
and Mr. Brown that they would consider the proposal and advise them of a decision in
the near future.

1) Council deferred decision on a By-Law to appoint a Drainage Superintendent.

" That a By-Law to appoint Live Stock Valuers be considered read a first and second
time, read a third time and passed this 26th day of September, 1989 and numbered
By-Law 89-22".

meeting for October 12 at 9:00 A.M. to meet with the parties.

" That Council approves of issueing a Kennel Licence to Corrine Stones and William
Stapley, PT Lot 20 Con 13, Township of Medonte".

Council he would be filing them with the Ontario Municipal Board.
