THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE
Minutes of a Meeting of Council of The Township of Medonte held on Tuesday,
July 11, 1989 at 7:00 pm in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

ADOPTION OF MINUTES
Resolution 89-130 was passed as follows:
I! That the Minutes of a regular meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte
held on June 27, 1989, be adopted as printed and circulated."
Council met with Mr. ~. Ball, Township Roads Superintendent.

Resolution 89-131 was passed as follows:
I! That the tender of Bill Keddy Pump Maintenance in the amount of $24,800.00
for the removal of old gas tanks and pumps and the supply and installation
of pumps and tanks be accepted. I!
Resolution 89-132 was passed as follows:
I! That Council approves of payment of $100.00 plus survey and legal costs in
order to obtain a drainage easement across the lot of Catherine Monica McHugh,
EPT Lot 5, Con 13, Warminster."
Resolution 89-133 was passed as follows:
I! That Council of the Township of Medonte will accept transfer of lands known as
parts 1 and 3 on plan P-3346-151, which are presently used for drainage
purposes and that this transfer be done at no cost to the Municipality. I!
DELEGA TIONS
1) Mrs Connie Cochrane approached Council to express concern over the pro-
posed Buffalo Springs Development in Oro. She expressed concern with
regard to environmental aspect of the property and its affects on streams
flowing into Medonte Township. She also complimented Council on their
development policy for the Horseshoe Valley Corridor and requested Council
express their concern regarding Mr Raymonds plans for linear development.

Mr. Steinhoff and Mrs. Dobb approached Council regarding their homes
in Plan M-l 01. They advised that there is work not done. Council requested
they provide a list of deficiencies so Council can take them to the developer.

3) Ms. Winsome Murray approached Council regarding future development of
190 acres of land, Pt Lot 6 and 7 Con 14. They requested Council advise
them if the lands could be developed. Council advised that any development
would be many years down the road and that they would make no commitment.

Mr. D. Gordon approached Council regarding his neighbour Mr. J. Crosby
and his running a business. Council advised Mr. Gordon they would follow up
on his complaint.
PASSING OF VOUCHERS
1) Resolution 89-134 was passed as follows:
I! That roads voucher 116 in the amount of $43,094.07 IS hereby approved
for payment. I!

2) Resolution 89-135 was passed as follows:
" That general voucher #7 in the amount of $679,403.79 IS hereby approved
for payment."
BUSINESS

Resolution 89-136 was passed as follows:
" WHEREAS the number of Applications for Consent received by the Township
of Medonte has increased substantially since the adoption by Council of
Amendment No. 7 to the Official Plan for the Township of Medonte on
December 7, 1987;

AND WHEREAS the Council for the Township of Medonte has identified a
number of concerns with respect to the Land Division policies for the
Agricultural & Rural designations as contained in the Official Plan for the
Township of Medonte, as amended;

AND WHEREAS the Council for the Township of Medonte has determined
that it is desirable to conduct a Study of the Land Division policies for the
above-noted designations.
"
That the Council of the Township of Medonte hereby directs that a study
be undertaken of the current Land Division policies for the Agricultural
& Rural designations as contained in the Official Plan for the TownshiR of
Medonte,.:md hereby authorizes the Clerk of the Municipality to take all
steps and execute all documents required to retain and instruct the necessary
planning and legal consultants in order to coduct the study.
