Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Monday,
January 31, 1983 at Council Chambers, Moonstone.

Mr. P. St~faniak, of Brock and Colbourne approached Council with regard to beginning
work on their subdivision, part lot 55, concession 1. Council explained that they
feel the subdivider's agreement Which was signed is outdated. Mr. Stefaniak said he
had vlanted to proceed befoIe but had been unable to due to problems with Council and
also said he would contact his lawyers if he was not allowed to begln.

Mr. A. McCarthy approached Council to request a rezoning on his property. He said he
has plans for an 11 lot estate rural subdivision but he could get the rezoning
before he spent too much money.
Resolution 83-38 WqS passed as follows:
" Thatthis Council approves of Mr. A. McCarthy property, part of west-
half of lot 23, concession 11 to permit an estate residential subdivision.
And that the Clerk contact the Township Planner once required deposit has
been received".

Employment Development Program. It was decided to submit an application for a
program to do work on community halls and grounds.

Association or the Association of Municipalities of Ontario for the year 1983.
1) Resol11r;on 83-40 was passed as follows:
" That Council approves of a membership for 1983 in the Ontario Association
of Committee of Adjustment and Land Division Committees in the amount of $30.00".
4) Besol11,jOD 83-41 was passed as follows:
" That Council agrees to rent a postal mailing machine from Pitney Bowes at a
cost of $700.00 per year".

" That it be a policy of this Council that they not mail Council minutes to
ratepayers but that the minutes be available to anyone Who comes to the office".
