ADOPTION OF MINUTES
='Rf'sollltlon Rl;-1 was passed as follows:
" That the minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council held on December 9, 1985 and
the minutes of a special meeting of Council held on December 20, 1 985 be adopted
as circulated".
Coqoc;i! met with the Township Road's Superintendent and discussed varIOUS roads matters.

" That a By-Law appointing Councillors to various Community Centre Boards be
considered read a first and second time, read a third time and passed this 14th
day of January, 1986 and numbered By-Law 86-1 fl.
Resolution 86-3 ~s passed as follows:
" That a By-Law appointing persons to the joint Jarratt Community Centre Board be
considered read a first and second time, read a third time and passed this 14th day
of January, 1986 and numbered By-Law 86-2".

" That a By-Law to regulate building within the Township of Medonte be considered

1) A large delegation of ratepayers with Mr. McKenzie as their spokesman met with
Council and expressed concern over a proposed Mink Farm, lot 1, concession 14.
They presented a petition objecting to the mink operation. It was noted that
the proposal had the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Ministry
of Environment but the residents were very concerned over the possible affects
to the North River. They asked Council to put the project on hold and to ask the
Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food to re-evaluate
the proposal.
Resolution 86-5 was passed as follows:
" That the Clerk contact the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the Ministry of
the Environment to ask them re-evaluate the application of Mr. L. McKay for
a mink farm operation on lot 1, Con. 14".
2) Mr. W. Harvey of the Orr Lake Ratepayers Association met with Council to request
they talk with one of the residents who has blocked a walkway in front of his
property. Councillor Vasey agreed to meet with the party in question.
-<There was also c:J rliscussion regarding the North Simcoe Waste Management Association
and their search for a possible waste site in the Orr Lake area.
3) Mr. E. Mintz and his solicitor Mr. D. Ewart met with Council to request an
Official Plan Amendment to allow Mr. Mintz to have more than the allowed number
of severances. Mr. Ewart felt the merits of severing the property should be
considered. Council agreed to consider the matter.

1} Resolution 86-6 was passed as follows:
" That a By-Law to appoint a Committee of Adjustment be considered read a first
and second time, read a third time and passed this 14th day of January, 1986
and numbered By-Law 86-4".

" That Councillor Beleskey be authorized to attend the R.O.M.A. Convention
to be held in Toronto on February 2 to 5, 1986".

" That Reeve Amos be appointed to represent the Township of Medonte on the
Huronia District Hospital Board for the year 1986, 1987 and 1988".

" That Horace Vasey is hereby appointed as representative for the Nottawasaga
Valley Conservation Authority for the years 1986, 1987 and 1988".

" That Council approves of a grant in the amount of $25.00 for the year 1986
for the North Simcoe Soil and Crop Association".

" That Roads Voucher 1/ 12 in the amount of $113,229.13 IS hereby approved for
payment".
2) Resolution 86- 12 was passed as follows:
" That General Voucher 1/ 1 in the amount of $201,749.69 IS hereby approved
for payment".
3) Resolution 86-J.l....w.as passed as follows:
" That General Voucher 1/ 12A in the amount of $136,748.56 IS hereby approved
for payment".
