THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE
Minutes of a Special meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Tuesday, Septen
20, 1983 at 7: 30 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

matters.

:L) Cl erk i nfo1'11lf>d Council that Mr. McLean was working on behalf of Council to fascilitatE
the 15% grant for the Warminster Cistern Expansion. Council directed the Clerk write
the Ministry of Environment and object to their condition that the expansion could on]
serve the present population and not permit future development.
2) Resolution 83-199 was passed as follows:
"That Council approves of an additional grant to the Waver ley Monument Committee
in the amount of $25.00 for the year 1983' I.

the" Haste Subdivision" in Warminster. The Clerk noted that he had been questioDE
as to Why the lands were now zoned rural in By-Law 82-25 When they had been zoned
Residential under By-Law 1304. Council noted that in 1982 the owner of the lands hac
dropped the draft plan of subdivision and turned the land back to rural and that
By-Law 82-25 was prepared accordingly. Council also noted it was not their policy
to prezone land.
"'~) Resolution 83-200 was defeated as follows:
" That Council agrees to purchase three rolls of 8 strand page wire fence to
fence a road allowance along the boundary of a piece of property owned by Mr.
H. Terek, lot 75, Con. 1".
5)MMTheCJ erkpres~nted, a letter from Trillium Cable Communications Ltd. regarding the
overhead wire in front of lot 44, Georgian Drive. Council directed a copy be sent
to the owner.

~} Reso1l~joD R3-?02 was passed as follows:
" That Council agrees to install a streetlight at the entrance to Cathedral Pines,
Horseshoe Valley subject that the property owners provide for the cost of the
light, installation and yearly energy charge".
Z) The Clerk pre~ented A letter from the Warminster Water Committee regarding appoint-
ment of a meter reader and new member and filed the letter as informational.

8) Resolution 83-2~2 was passed as follows:
'I That the Clerk and Treasurer are authorized to attend an Effective Management
Seminar to be held at Georgian College, November 16 to 18, 1983".
. _9) Clerk presented a letter of complaint regarding the dogs at 3 Preston St. Council
directed the dog control officer for that area investigate.
Various other pieces of correspondence were presented, discussed and filed as information~
