Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Tuesday,
January 10, 1984 at 1:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone, Ontario

Resolution 84-1 was passed as follows:
" That the minutes of a Special Meeting held under Section 34 of the Planning
Act on December 20, 1983 at 1:00 P.M.; and the minutes of a Special Meeting
held under Section 17 of the Planning Act on December 20, 1983 at 2:00 P.M.;
and the minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held on December 20, 1983 be
adopted;
And that the minutes of a regular meeting of Council held on December 14,
1983 be adopted".

discussion regarding the 1983 budget.

well as hills. Council did not change their policy with regard to sanding.
)he Clerk advised that the Canadian Transport Commission wish to meet and discuss
the C.P.R. Crossing at the 8th Concession at 1:30 P.M. on January 11, 1984.

-1) Mr. I. SqJ1irp approached Council regarding developing his land along the
Ingram Road between the 4th and 3rd Concessions into an estate residential
development.
~Re~oltJtioJl 84-2 was passed as follows:
" That this Council has no objection to Mr. L. Squire proceeding with the
development of his land subject to the conditions of Section 6.5 of the
Official Plan".

Eire Chief Hamilton advised Council that the Ontario Ambulance Association would
be presenting the Fire Department with some equipment on January 19, 1984 at
7:00 P.M. in Hall # 1.

PASSING OF BY-LAWS
1) ResQ]:ution~ was passed as follows:
" That a By-Law to adopt Amendment # 4 to the Official Plan for the Township
of Medonte Planning Area be considered read a first and second time, read
a third time and passed this 10th day of January, 1984 and numbered By-Law
84-1".

,DEFERRED BUSINESS
,1) Council decided on a Special Meeting on January 26, 1984 at 1:00 P.M. to
open the Tenders for the Warminster Cistern Expansion and other matters.
2) CounciL~dS).al..t..,with a request from the Subdivider of a parcel, lot:: 1,
concession 13 v;ho were requesting a change in the Subdivider Y s agreement
to not put in streetlights. Council directed the Clerk advise him that
Council wish to stick to the Subdivider' sagreement.
PASSING OF~CCOUNTS
1) Rpsol11tion M-5 was passed as follows:
" That General Voucher # 12A in the amount of $223,784.40 and General
Voucher # 1 in the amount of $15,413.99 are hereby approved for payment".
?) Rpsollltion 84-6 was passed as follows:
" That Roads Voucher # 12 in the amount of $66,851.47 is hereby approved
for payment".

1) Resolution 84-7 was passed as follows:
"That Council approves of an inotease in the gas allowance for the waste
site from $6.00 per day to $8,{)() per day".
2) The Clerk presented a letter from J'v'tr. D. Guthrie reggrding his appeal of
the Township Zoning By-Law. Council directed the Clerk write Mr. Guthrie
and advise him that Council would consider any proposal he has under the
terms of Section 5.7.3 of the Official Plan.
~) Bpsoll1t:ion S4-8 was passed as follows:
" That this Council supports the resolution of the Township of Tosorontio
regarding requesting a Royal Commission into the financing of education".
A proposal fr~ Huronia Communications to sell the Council a phone system
was deferred to budget time.
A request for a Kennel Licence from Robert & Karen Miller was refused as the
property does not have the required area.
rDlm~jl directed the Clerk contact the Township Solicitor to proceed against
a party with regards to barking dogs under the Noise By-Law.
RpsoJl1t:ion 84-9 was passed as follows:
" That Council agrees to send various fireman to the seminars as listed on
a letter from the Fire Chief under date of December 28, 1983".

. 3) Resolution 84-12 was passed as follows:
" That Council recommends file A-3/83 for approval subject that an agreement
to encroach on the road allowance be entered into".
Various other matters were placed before Council, discussed and filed.
