Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held on Tuesday, May 22, 1984 at 7:30 P.M.
in Council Chambers, Moonstone, Ontario

_CQ.!Jllcil mf't with Mr. E. Robertson and opened the tenders for the purchase of a truck.
There were four truck tenders received.
1) Douglas Lincoln Mercury Sales Ltd.

Resolution 84- 125 was passed as follows:
" That the tender of Alex Currie Motors for the supply of a cab and chassis-
Diesel Std. 35000 pound G.V.W. Truck less trade-in for a 1975 International
2070 cab and chassis, in the amount of $44,414.63 be accepted, subject to the
approval of the Roads Superintendent".
Council agr~gQto allow Bot Construction to widen the road allowance they are leasing
and agreed to sell Bot the fill for 30e;': per ton.
Council directed the Roads Superintendent to move the fuel tank from the Mt. St. Louis
Dump to the other Dump Site.
Reeve Amos reported that he and the Roads Superintendent met with the owner of
land along the dead end portion of the Whetham Sideroad and he approved of the Township
ditching the road.

Council approved of the Roads Department digging out a portion of Mill Street and
putting in Pit Run from Richardson's pit. Council agreed to put calcium on the 2nd
Concession while the Township is hauling.
Council directed the Clerk contact K. Truax to rent his dozer and backhoe to clear
land and dig a trench at the Waste Site, lot 1,9~ con. 1:3.

.~ouncil set a date of May 29, 1984 at 7:30 P.M. at the Township Fire Hall, Moonstone
for the Official Turnover of the Command Post, Rescue Vehicle.
Clerk presented a letter from the Fire Chief advising Council of the intention of the
Ministry of NaturalResources to hold a controlled burn, Part lot 17, con. 3.
Resolution 84-126 was passed as follows:
" That Council approves of the Ministry of Natural Resources conducting a "controlled
burn" on part of lot 17, con. 3, subject to the approval of the Medonte Fire Chief
and subject that the Natural Resources be responsible for any fires that might result
on private property due to the burn".

..council then met with Mrs. B. Woodrow, Township Treasurer
~ouncil directed she contact Eldred Clark and have the parcel of land, lot 6, con. 9
which the Township has acquired throught tax registration listed for sale.
Council then began working on the 198'+ budget.

Resolution 8'+-12Z was passed as follows:
" That Council approves of transferring $'+,500.00 from the Park Fund reserve to be
transferred to the va.hiousCQmmuflityiHal1s".
