05 28 1984 Sp Council Minutes -'--.1 --7 THE CORPORA nON OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held to consider a request for a rezonmg under the Planning Act. Present Reeve - I. Amos Deputy Reeve - L. Johnstone Councillors - I. Beard - H. Vasey Also present - A. McNair - Mr. D. Hill - Mr. M. Miller - Ibe meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. The Secretary advised those in attendance that as per the regulations he had given all land owners a notice of the meeting by first class mail on April 17, 1984 and that a notice was placed in the Elmvale Lance on April 25, 1984. - Mr, A. McNair,_:l;he Township Planner presented the proposed Zoning By-Law. He explained that the By-Law would rezone a parcel of land, pt. lot 50, con. 1 from Rural (RU) to Rural Exception (RU-9) to permit the use as a machine shop and welding shop. ,Therf' Wf'rf' no 0bjections by anyone in attendance and no written objections received. ~esolution 84-129 was passed as follows: " That a By-Law to ~implement the development control provIsIOns as set out In Section 40 of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1980 with regard to a parcel of land, Pt. lot 50, con. 1 be considered read a first and second time, read a third time and passed this 28th day of May, 1984 and numbered By-Law 84-15". Resolution 84-130 was passed as follows: " That a By-Law to amend By-Law 82-25 as amended, be considered read a first and second time, read a third time and passed this 28th day of May, 1984 and numbered By-Law 84-16". Council then proceeded with other matters. - .The S~cr~tary adyis~1:LCouncil that Mrs. Cook of Hillsdale had approached him regarding expanding her cooking school to include a small restaurant. Council decided to consider her proposal as a Home Occupation under By-Law 82-25 is she could meet the conditions of the By-Law. - Council then proceeded with work on the 1984 budget. It was decided to grant the War minster Community Hall $500.00, the Vasey Athletic field $250.00 and the Price Park $250.00 towards capital projects for 1984. Jt was also decided to increase the Firemen's points from $4.75 to $5.00 for the year 1984. Various other budget discussions took place. ,Resolution 8[+,-131 was passed as follows: " Tha t this meeting be adjourned".
