In Council Chambers, Moonstone Present DeputyReeve Councillors - Lytle Johnstone - Jill Patterson - Ian Beard - Horace Vasey Also present Mr. A. Bosman, Ministry of Natural Resources - Absent Reeve - IngraM AMos In the absence of Reeve Amos, Deputy-Reeve Johnstone assumed the Chair - The Clerk, advised Council that the meeting was b~lngheld to discuss a By-Law to stop up and lease the Road Allowances within the Copeland Forest Resources Management Area. He advised Council that he had followed the provisions of the Municipal Act and had notified the County of the proposal!, had pested notices up in the area of the roads and had put notices in 4 local newspapers once a week for four succesive weeks. He advised that he also had advised Bell Telephone and Ontario Hydro of the proposed By-Law and explained that Hydro has requested a grant of easement for their line along the 3rd concession. Mr. L. Squire asked Council if the stopping up and leasing of the road allowances would affect the Ingram Road as he owned property on tee other side of the road. Council explained to him that the Ingram Road could not be affected and would still be a public road. Mr. Squire then advised Council that he had no objection to the By-Law. r:ollnri I Clgreed to sign the easement agreement with Ontario Hydro before leasing the Roads to the Province. Resolution 84-201 was passed as follows: " That a By-Law to stop up and lease various road allowances within the Township of Medonte be considered read a first and second time, read a third time and passed this 11 th day of September, 1984 and numbered By-Law 84-20". . The Clerk advised Council that he now must receive the approval of the Minister of Transportation and Communications and register the By-Law at the Lnad Registry Office and that Council must enter into a lease agreement with the Ministry of Natural Resources.
