Vasey - ADOPTION OF MINI rT!:,,> Resolution ~4-244 was passed as follows: " That the minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on November 13, 1984 be adopted as circulated". - PAS.5IDIG QEBX-I A WS .F.esolution 84-?lJ '5 was passed as follows: " That a By-Law to restrict the weight of vehicles passing over certain bridges within the Township of Medonte be considered read a first and second time, read a third time and passed this 10th day of December and numbered By-Law 84-21 If. DEFERReD BII~1I\1E5Sn 1) Resoll1tioQ 51.4-246 was defeated as follows: " That Council directs the Clerk prepare a By-Law under section 43( 1 0) of the election act to place a question regarding Capital Punishment before the electors at the next Municipal Election". 2) Clf'rk presented Council a copy of the Top Soil Preservation Act which can prohibit or regulate the stripping of Top Soil. Council directed the Clerk contact the neighbouring Municipalities which have a By-Law for a copy. 3) Clerk presented a letter from the Ministry of Environment to Mr. D. Hunnisett regarding his request to purchase the old Township Waste Site. Council directed the Clerk invite Mr. Hunnisett to a future meeting of Council. OFT EGA TIONS Mr. John Balmer of Consumers Gas approached Council to obtain the franchise to distribute gas in Medonte Township. He explained that Consumers now has a partial franchise in Orr Lake Area and explained they are hopeful to expaad into the Coldwater Area. Council deferred decision until December 19, 1984. Mr. A. Bosman.of the Ministry of Natural Resources approached Council regarding the lease agreement for the road allowances in the Copeland Forest. Council agreed with the proposal and the Reeve and Clerk executed the agreement. - Council met with Mr. E. Robertson, Township Roads Superintendent. There was a discussion regarding the purchase of a radio system. Council directed the Clerk contact the M. T. C. for sample specification and directed the Superintendent to look at the systems of the neighbouring municipalities. - /CouncU Q,greed to place a "School Bus Loading" sign on the Mt. St. Louis Road near the old Waste Site. Council agreed to have Reid & Associates to the meeting of December 19, 1984 to discuss the Bridge Appraisal Report. ~w 8IJ~If\fS~S c _ 1) Resolution 84-2liL was passed as follows: " That the speed limit on Highway 93 be reduced from 60KM/H to 50 KM/H in the Township of Medonte in the County of Simcoe from a point situate 235 M. measured southerly from its intersection with the centre line of the roadway known as Martin Street in the Police Village of Hillsdale, and a point situate 150M measured northerly from its intersection with the centre line of the roadway known as Robert Blvd. in the Police Village of Hillsdale". McCarthy to add lot 11 to lot 10 in his proposed draft plan but asked the Clerk to once again request the information that was requested by letter on May of 1983. - ..3) Resolution 84-2lf8 was passed as follows: " That Council approves of an extension of the Draft Plan Approval, Ministry File 43T -75155 Pt. Lot 56, Con. 1, for a period of one year, from December 5, 1984 to December 5, 198~ 4) R~cl\Jtion 8't-2'f9 was passed as follows: " That Medonte Council supports the request of the Township of Matchedash to have the Coldwater Telephone system increase the calling area of the Coldwater exchange to include Orillia, subject that the affected parties in Medonte Township approve of the extra charges involved". ~ j) Resolution 84-250, was passed as follows: " That Lytle Johnstone be authorized to attend the R. O. M. A. annual meeting to be held February 3 to February 6, 1985". 6) Resolution .34-:25 L was passed as follows: " That Council approves of paying Horseshoe Valley $37.00 per hour plus the cost of the sand for their providing sanding and salting and ploughing of the roads in Plans 1531, M-I0, M-ll, M-23 for the winter months of 1984 and 1985". ]) Resolution 84-252 was passed as follows: " That Council declares the week of January 14 to 19, 1985 to be Local Government Week in the Province of Ontario". 1) Re~01!.lti9[1 84-253 was passed as follows: " That Roads Voucher II 11 in the amount of $71,802.25 is hereby approved for payment". 2} ResQlutiQo 84-254 was passed as follows: " That General Voucher II 12 in the amount of $130,346.24 IS hereby approved for payment' OTHFR B\ JSINESS 1) Resolution 84-2'55 was passed as follows: " That Council recommends file B-16/84, Mr. L.
