Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Councll of the Township of Medonte held on April 9, 1985
at 1 :00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone, Ontario

RPsolution &5-51 was passed as follows:
" That the minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council held on March 12, 1985 and the minutes
of a special meeting held on March 25, 1985 be adopted as circulated".
_Collncil met with E. Robertson, Township Roads Superintendent and discussed roads matters.

J) Mr. R. Jarriett approached Council regarding water on his property. He claimed that
in ditching along the 10th concession Council had directed water unto his property
and caused flooding. Council agreed to look at the problem on roads tour.
,..2) Mr. C. Green of Warminster approached Council regarding water on his property. He
explained that now that the lots are built up that a ditch could be dug across the
back out to the side road to drain the water. Council agreed to look into the matter
on their Roads Tour.
3) Mr. J. Hulton, Building Inspector met with Council and explained the procedure for
having an unsafe structure removed and having the charges placed on the tax roll.
Council directed Mr. Hulton to get estimates and proceed.
Resolution 85-52 was passed as follows:
" That Council directs the Building Inspector proceed to have the partially destroyed
house, lot 16, concession 9 cleaned up at the expense of the owner under the terms
of the Building Code Act".

NEW BUSINESS

J) Rf'sol1ltion ~'5-'51 was passed as follows:
That Gary Cunnington and Lytle Johnstone are authorized to attend the Municipal
Officials Fire Protection Seminar to be held at the County Administration Centre
on April 30 and May 1, 1985".
2) Resolution 85-54 was passed as follows:
" That Fire Chief K. Hamilton and Reeve Amos and Deputy Reeve Johnstone are
authorized to attend a "Community Justice " week dinner in Coldwater on April 15,
1985".

3) R~sQhJtion ~ 5- '5 5 was passed as follows:
" That Reeve I. Amos be appointed to attend the County of Simcoe Library Annual
General Meeting to be held at the County Museum on April 27, 1985".
4) Council direc;tf'cI the Clerk contact the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority
regarding the increase in the 1985 levy.

" That Council approves of a one year extension to May 4, 1986 for the draft plan
of subdivision of Mr. A. Teskey, Ministry File 43T-75368".

, 7) Resolution 85-58 was passed as follows:
" That Council aprpoves of the Warminster Community Centre Recreation Committee
entering into an agreement with the Optimist Club of War minster for the management
of the Warminster Community Centre Park and Ball Field".

" That General Voucher II 4 in the amount of $252,795.22 IS hereby approved for payment".

Music Festival".
2) Resolution 85-62 was passed as follows:
" That Council approves of a donation to the Coldwater & District Agricultural
Society in the amount of $210.00 for the year 1985".

" That Gary Cunnington be authorized to attend a Weed Control Information day to
be held on April 12, 1985 at the County Administration Centre".
