05 28 1985 Sp Council Minutes THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on May 28, 1985 at 7:30 P.M. Present Reeve - I. Amos Deputy Reeve - L. Johnstone Councillors - J. Patterson - I. Beard - H. Vasey t Council met with the Treasurer to finalize the 1985 budget and went over the budget requests from the fire department. Resolution 85-104 was defeated as follows by recorded vote: " That the fire chief put on salary of $10,000. a year with no mileage and no truck allowance". Yeas - L. Johnstone Nays - J. Patterson, H. Vasey, I. Beard and I. Amos t Resolution 85-105 was defeated as follows by recorded vote: " That the vehiCle allowance paid to the Fire Chief for the use of a pick up truck be increased by $200.00 per year". Yeas Nays - J. Patterson, H. Vasey, I. Beard, L. Johnstone & I. Amos Resolution 85-106 was defeated as follows by recorded vote: " That Council approves of paying K. Hamilton a fee of $25.00 per month towards the cost of keeping an office in his house". Yeas I. Beard & H. Vasey Nays - L. Johnstone, J. Patterson & I. Amos Resolution 85-107 was carried by recorded vote as follows: " That Council approves of paying K. Hamilton a fee of $15.00 per month towards the cost of keeping an office in his house". Yeas H. Vasey, I. Beard & I. Amos Nays - J. Patterson & L. Johnstone I Resolution 85-108 was defeated as follows: " That Council approves of the fire chief purchasing a dress uniform and accessories as part of his 1985 operating budget". ~ Resolution 85-109 was defeated as follows: " That Council agrees to increase the allowance paid to officers In the fire department by 50<: per point". Resolution 85-110 was carried as follows: " That Council agrees to increase the allowance paid to officers in the fire department by 25<: per point". R~solution 85-111 was carried " That the firefighters points as follows: be increased by $.50 per point for the year 1985". ~ ReSQlutiQn $;5-112 was carried as follows: " That Council approves of purchasing a hydrant pump to be charged against the water system~ (Council then met with the Township Roads Superintendent and revised the 1985 Roads Construction Budget. Resolution 85-113 was passed as follows: " That a By-Law to adopt the estimates for the year 1985 and provide for a levy to raise sums required to be raised bymeans of taxation be considered read a first and second time, read a third time and passed this 28th day of May, 1985 and numbered By-Law 85-4". Reeve Resolution 85- 114 was passed as follows: " That this meeting be adjourned".
