04 08 1986 Council Minutes THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Tuesday, April 8, 1986 at 1 :00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone, Ontario Present Reeve - I. Amos Deputy Reeve - I. Beard Councillors - H. Vasey - J. Clarke - R. Beleskey t ResolufuO~.86-86was passed as follows: " That the minutes of a regular meeting of Council held on March 11, 1986 and the minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held on March 18, 1986 be adopted as printed and circulated". Council met with Mr. Elmer Robertson, Township Road's Superintendent. There was a discussion regarding the 7th Concession. Council directed the road be graded as soon as possible. There were complaints presented regarding sand on streets. Council decided it was too early to sweep. ~ '<;ouncil de_cided to complete the roads tour on Friday, April 11, 1986. Coullc:il met with the Building Inspector to discuss the expansion to the garage. Council decided to heat with wood and electric and requested the Building Inspector advertise for quotations. V Mr. W. Harvey and Mrs. N. Kobe of the Orr Lake Ratepayer's Association met with Council They updated Council on the proposed waste site in Tiny Township. They also requested Council's support in obtaining a flashing warning light at the intersection of County Road /I 19 and Highway 93. Resolution 86-87 was passed as follows: " That this Council requests the MInistry of Transportation and Communications install a flashing warning light at the intersection of Simcoe County Road 19 and Highway 93". They also presented a petition regarding access to the lake and the blocking of access to Cedar Lane by Mr. & Mrs. Fairbrass. .2) Mr. & Mrs. V. Arnaut approached Council requesting ditching along the front of their property. They also requested that dirt left piled on their property when Purbrook Creek was cleaned be levelled. Council set up an on site meeting with Mr. & Mrs. Arnaut to look into the problems. ~ J) Resolution 86-88 was passed as follows: " That Council of the Township of Medonte declare the week of April 20 to 26 to be Forest Fire Prevention Week". ~ ~Resolution86...8,9 was defeated by recorded vote as follows: " That Council of the Township of Medonte endorses the resolution of the Township of Clarence and requests the Prime Minister of Canada give his assurance that no agricultural programs be sacrificed in Free Trade negotiations with the United States" Yeahs - J.
