THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE
Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council of the Township of Medonte held on Thursday,
June 12, 1986 at 7:00 P.M. in Council Chambers, Moonstone.

ADOPTION OF MINUTES
~ResoIution 86-14 J. ~as pa;~ed as follows:
" That the minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council held on May 13, 1986 and the minutes
of Special Meetings held on May 20, 1986 and May 28, 1986 be adopted as circulated".

Council met .with Road's Superintendent. It was decided to High Float three streets in
Hillsdale, the places torn up on the 7th, 8th and 10th Concessions and to do the Sideroad
between Highway 12 and the 12th Concession and the Medonte Hills Subdivision if there were
sufficient funds. It was also decided to ditch at Morano's and to replace a culvert at
Swaile's.
Council opened two prices for weed cutting. Resolution 86-142 was passed as follows:
" That Council hire Mr. Morley Ball at a rate of $22.50 per hour for roadside and Town-
ship property weed cutting, subject to Mr. Ball having proper insurance on the Tractor".
Council directed the Clerk set up an onsite meeting with the Ministry of Natural Resources
regarding the bridge replacement on the 8th Concession.

J) Reeve Dunlop and Councillor Perryman of the Village of Coldwater met with Council to
ask them to join the Management and Maintenance Committee for the Coldwater and
District Community Centre. Council deferred decision.
2) Mr. D. Gordon approached Council regarding the land use on a neighbouring property. He
advised Council the property was zoned Rural and was being used comrr.ercially. He
felt this caused a problem due to noise and general appearance of the property.
Resolution 86-143 was passed as follows:
" That Council advise Mr. J. Crosby that they feel his operation is a commercial
operation in a Rural Zone and request he apply for a rezoning to Commercial".

3) A delegation from Cedar Lane at Orr Lake complaining that their garbage was not
being picked up failed to appear.
Resolution 86-144 was passed as follows:
" That Council request Flos township require Mr. MacDonald live up to the contract
he has signed and pick up garbage on Cedar Lane".
it Resolution 86-145 was passed as follows:
" That a By-Law to appoint a Tile Drainage Inspector be considered read a first and second
time, read a third time and passed this 12th day of June, 1986 and numbered By-Law 86-12",

" That a By-Law imposing special annual drainage rates upon land in respect of which
money is borrowed under the Tile Drainage Act, 1980 be considered read a first and
second time, read a third time and passed this 12th day of June, 1986 and numbered
By-Law 86-13".

discussion regarding Warminster Water. Council directed the Clerk obtain
prIces on replacing the water line from the well to the pumphouse. Council also directed
the Clerk contact companies regarding providing a maintenance service for Warminster
Water.

" That Council of the Township of Medonte requests the Management Board of Cabinet
amend the 1986 licence issued to Penetang-Midland Coach Lines Limited and remove
the restriction that there be no pick-up and discharge of passengers and express freight
other than at Pearson International Airport or points in Simcoe County".

" That Council approves of a one year extension of the draft plan for Mr. C. Wells,
Part lot 1, con. 7, Ministry file 43T -76030 for a period of one year to August 22,1987".

" That Council requests that the Ministry of Transportation & Communications reduce
the speed limit along their portion of Highway 93 road allowance servicing north
Orr Lake to 50 Km.".

" That General Voucher II 6 in the amount of $56,786.56 be approved for payment".

" That Road's Voucher II 5 in the amount of $62,030.60 be approved for payment".
