COUNCIL CHAMBERS - APRIL 19, 1980

SPECIAL MEETING
Council met this morning at 9:00 a.m. in accordance with resolution of April 10th,
1980 to interview 12 applicants for the office assistant to the Treasurer.
All members present except Councillor Clarence Smith.
Reeve Howard A. Campbell in the chair.
Clerk advised that applicants selected at the meeting of April 10th following
the consideration of applications received had been contacted by telephone
and are to be present as scheduled.
Oneta Wilson - Bookkeeping - Construction Company at present - bank teller
Dorothy Burrus - expected salary - $11,000- 12,000
- self employed
- payroll - Beckers Co. and M.A. Henry (50 employees)
- feels versatility important
Kathy Richardson - 6 years with Treasury Department City of Orillia
- all departments accounting, purchasing, billing taxes
- salary expected $10,500 - $11,000 start
Dianne Johnston - presently Teller Victoria & Grey
- bookkeeping - Mapleneuk (payroll) & Beaver Lumber
- salary negotiable $10,000 - $10,500
Barbara Gustin - Instructor - Georgian College
- payroll experience - 15 employees
- Twin Lakes Secondary School
- worked with Bell Canada
- salary negotiable around $10,000
Pamela Bell - age 25, married (2 children under 5)
- payroll experience both MNR & Twp. of Orillia
- typing for all Departments - accounting, payroll
Diane Sly - medical secretary
- excellent typist
- salary negotiable $10,000
Donna Baxter - present salary $12,800.00
- enrolled in CGA course
- post Grad. Courses
- bookkeeping & accounting
Ileen Thompson - some accounting
- would like to pursue municipal work

On motion of Sanderson and Swainson that the Clerk make further investigations
with respect to references for Kathy Richardson and Barbara Gustin, after
which the matter of accepting an application be dealt with on Monday,
April 21, 1980.
On motion of McLean and Sanderson, adjourn at 12:40 p.m.
