COUNCIL CHAMBERS - JANUARY 11, 1984
. SPECIAL MEETING - PROPOSED OFFICIAL PLAN & ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENTS
Council met at 7:00 p.m. as arranged, notice requirements in compliance with
Sections 17(2)(3) and 34(12)(13) of the Planning Act, 1983 having been met.
All members of Council present.

The meeting was called to order promptly
The Reeve explained the purpose of the first segment of the meeting as being
to inform the public and those present of proposed Amendment No. 17 to the
Official Plan of the Oro Planning Area and a Zoning By-Law Amendment proposed
for implementation of the same, affecting part of Lot 2, Concession 7.
Ron Watkin of Ainley & Associates Ltd., the Township's Planning Consultants,
explained the purpose and effect of the proposed Amendments. Eleven persons,
other than the Municipal Representation were present, five of whom were members
of the Rowanwood Conserver Society Co-Operative Inc., the Development proponents.
The Reeve indicated to all present that they were all afforded the opportunity
of making representation in respect of both the proposed Official Plan and
Zoning Amendment, that written submissions were to be forwarded to the Clerk
to be received not later than 14 days form the date of the meeting, by January
26, 1984, and that the earliest Council would consider either matter would
be on February 13, 1984.

A number of questions were asked by the public present, which were responded
to by the Reeve, Mr. Watkin and the development proponents.
Rosa Denning and Norman Newell, area residents stated their support of the
Rowanwood Development Proposal.
Correspondnece indicating either no objection or support of the proposed Amend-
ments from the Ministry of Natural Resources, 83.12.22; Nottawasaga Valley
Conservation Authority, 1983.12.19; Simcoe County District Health Unit, 1983.12.13;
Daniel and Bonnie Therrien, 1984.01.11; Arthur and Isable Armstrong, 1983.01.06;
J. McCarthy, 1984.01.07 and Jill Hanson-Lester 1984.01.11 was filed, as was
correspondence from Renate Mazgy, 1983.12.21 in opposition.
Those wishing to receive notice of any adoption of the Official Plan Amendment
and/or passage of the proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment were asked to leave
their names and addresses with the Deputy Clerk. The following requested such
notice:

There being no further representations, the second segment of the meeting
was commenced at 7:30 p.m., being to inform the public and those present of
a proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment affecting part of the east half of Lots
16 & 17, Concession 14.
Ron Watkin of Ainley & Associates Ltd., the Township's Planning Consultants,
explained the purpose and effect of the proposed Zoning Amendment. Five persons
were present, other than the Municipal Representation, which included the
re-zoning applicant, his son and daughter-in-law.
The Reeve indicated to those present that they were all afforded the opportunity
of making representation in respect of the proposed Amendment, that written
submissions were to be forwarded to the Clerk to be received not later than
14 days from the date of the meeting, by January 26, 1984, and that the earliest
Council would consider the matter would be on Febrary 13, 1984.
A number of questions were asked by the pulic present, which were responded
to by the Reeve, Mr. Watkin, the Deputy Clerk and the re-zoning applicant.
Correspondence frQm the Ministry of Natural Resources, 1983.12.22 was filed,
indicating no objection to the proposed Zoning Amendment.
Those wishing to receive notice of any passage of the proposed Zoning Amendment
were asked to leave their names and addresses with the Deputy Clerk. The fol-
lowing requested such notice:

On motion of Drury and McEwen, that the meeting be adjourned.
