The applicant has applied to rezone lands described as Part of Lot 9, Concession 5, in the Township of Oro. To date, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro have not made a decision on this application other than proceeding to a Public Meeting. Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed out on March 13, 1990, to all property owners within 400 feet of the subject lands. The Clerk responded by indicating correspondence had been received from the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority, indicating that they had no objection to this proposal, but requesting a copy of the decision. The Reeve then stated that those persons present would be afforded the opportunity of asking questions with respect to the proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment. Reeve Robert E. Drury then turned the meeting over to Township Planner, Ms. Beverly Nicolson, to explain the purpose and effect the proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment. Beverly Nicolson: The lands we are discussing are described as Part of Lot 9, in Concession 5. They are by Earl Lauder. The proposal is to rezone property which is currently zoned to Rural Residential. The reason application is before Council and the Public this evening is because the Committee of Adjustment granted a retirement lot for a Bonifide Farmer and one of the conditions of granting that severance was that the lot be rezoned to reflect the proposed use, which is residential use. The effect of the rezoning will be to meet the condition of the and allow it to be completed. .J - 2 - The Reeve, after inquiring and ascertaining that there were no questions from those present, thanked those in attendance for their participation and advised Council would consider all matters before reaching a decision. He also advised those present that if they wished to be notified of the passing of the proposed By-Law, they should leave their name and address with the Clerk. 1 Moved by Caldwell, seconded by Crawford Be it resolved that the Special Public Meeting of Council (Lauder) now be adjourned @ 7:10 p.m. Carried. ~¿g~ Reeve/Robe t E.
