DISCLOSURE AND DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST:

DEPUTATIONS:
7:05 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Branch, representing
Timberline Taxi Company were present to discuss
their application for a taxi/cab brokers and
drivers licence.
7:25 p.m. Mrs. Barb sinton was present to discuss sinton
Bus Lines application for a limousine and taxi
licence.
8:00 p.m.
Ian Wilson, Hydrologist was scheduled to appear
to review the Township water systems with
Council. Unfortunately due to a previous
commitment he was unable to attend on this date
or at this time.
8:12 p.m.
Mr. John Gilbert, Mr. S. E. Gillis and Solicitor
David White were present to discuss their
proposal for Plan 626 and 1488 and request
Council assistance in setting up a public
meeting.

9:30 p.m. Mr. Henry Sander was present to review the
Corporation of the Township of Oro's financial
status as of June 30, 1990 and to discuss various
other Treasury Department Reports.
(e) 10:05 p.m. Ms. Pat Harwood, Parks and Recreation supervisor
was present to discuss various community services
reports that were on this agenda.

It is recommended that Timberline Taxi be asked to provide-
proof of safety certificates for all vehicles, drivers
abstracts, letter of proof and amount of insurance, copy of the
articles of incorporation and references to Council prior to
final approval of their Taxi-Cab Licence.

It is recommended that sinton Bus Lines be asked to provide
proof of safety certificates for all vehicles, drivers
abstracts, letter of proof and amount of insurance, copy of the
articles of incorporation and references to Council prior to the
final approval of their Limousine/Taxi-Cab Licence.

It is recommended that the confidential correspondence from W.
J. Leslie, Solicitor to Leo Longo re: Oro vs BAFMA be received
and further Mr. Longo be requested to provide Council with his
comments prior to July 16, 1990

It is recommended that the memo from Henry Sander, Treasurer re:
1990 Fall Tax Collectors Conference be received and further Mrs.
Joan Fletcher be allowed to attend and further the municipality
would pick up all appropriate expenses.

It is recommended that the memo from Henry Sander, Treasurer
concerning Invoice #1 Oro/Barrie/orillia Airport be received.

MOTION NO.6
Moved by Burton, Seconded by Johnson
It is recommended that the memo from Henry Sander, Treasurer
concerning the tender proposal for the corporation of the
Township of Oro to be sent to Frank Cowan company Limited and
O.M.E. Insurance Brokers be received and adopted as amended.

Moved by Crawford, Seconded by Johnson
It is recommended that the Administrator/Clerk correspond with
Messrs Gilbert and Gillis and advise them that the Municipality
would require a professional detailed proposal along with
written approval of the majority owners from Plan 626 and 1488
fronting on the Promenade, the Municipality would consider a
meeting to receive public input in 1991.

It is recommended that the Treasurer be authorized to pay one
set of accounts during the month of August and further these
accounts shall be subject to review by Council at their next
regular meeting of Council to be held Tuesday, September 4,
1990.

Moved by Burton, Seconded by Johnson
It is recommended that the correspondence from Mr. Jeff Day,
Managing Editor of the Orillia Packet and Times be received.
Further the Council for the Corporation of the Township of Oro
directs the Administrator/Clerk to provide a Press Package for
each Council meeting which would contain the following:
a) An Agenda;
b) All correspondence, not confidential as determined by
the Clerk under Section 78 of the Municipal Act;
c) Staff Reports (except those which are confidential) as
determined by the Clerk under Section 78 of the
Municipal Act.

It is recommended that the confidential memo from Pat Harwood,
Parks and Recreation Supervisor concerning the resignation of
Richard Taylor be received and adopted and further the
Administrator/Clerk be authorized to advertise for a replacement
and further the Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized to
present Council with a revised salary consideration for this
position.

It is recommended that the correspondence from the Oro District
Lions Club with regards to the request for a $300.00 grant to
cover the cost of utilizing the arena be received and further
that a $300 grant be approved.

It is recommended that the Report from Pat Harwood, Parks and
Recreation supervisor concerning hot water heaters for the Arena
and Oro Township Hall be received and further that the proposal
#2 be approved.

It is recommended that the correspondence from Rob LaTorre
concerning his experiences on July 2, 1990 at the Oro Memorial
Park be received and the Parks and Recreation Supervisor send a
letter of apology.

It is recommended that the confidential correspondence from
Michael W. Shain, Solicitor re: Oro Industrial Park be received
and further the Administrator/Clerk be directed to place the
revised By-laws concerning the agreements of purchase and sale
at the next regular meeting of Council.

It is recommended that the confidential correspondence from Paul
A. Rabinovitch, Solicitor with the firm of Graham, Wilson &
Green concerning the Hristovski purchase from the corporation of
the Township of Oro be received. Further the Administrator/
Clerk is hereby directed by the Corporation of the Township of
Oro to advise Mr. Rabinovitch that the Township will purchase
Parts 2 and 3 on Reference Plan 51R-19270 from the Hristovskis
at the original purchase price.

It is recommended that the memo from Todd Stocks, Jr. Planner
with Ainley & Associates concerning draft plan of proposed
subdivision (part West half Lot 2, Concession l, Township of
orillia) be received.

It is recommended that the memo from Fred Haughton, Public
Services Administrator concerning water systems and the purchase
of a test unit model number DR2000 Hach at an approximate cost
of $3850.00 be approved and further this purchase be charged to
the water systems.

MOTION NO. 21
Moved by Crawford, Seconded by Johnson
It is recommended that the correspondence from the ontario
Municipal Board indicating the hearing that will be held on
Monday, August 13, 1990 at the Municipal Administration Centre
concerning Sargeant's pit Application be received and further
that the Reeve correspond with the chairman at the OMB
requesting a delay in the hearing until all parties involved
with the proposed Agreement to reconstruct the 7th Line can be
heard simultaneously.
