De uty Reeve David Caldwell chaired the meeting.
De uty Reeve David Caldwell opened the meeting by explaining to
th se present that this Public Meeting was to obtain public
co ents with respect to a proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment,
pu suant to the provisions of the Planning Act, 1983, section 34
(1). The applicant has applied to rezone certain lands described
as Part of Lot 25, Concession 10, legally described as Part 1 of
Re erence Plan 51R-17011.
To date, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro have
no made a decision on this application, other than proceeding to
a Public Meeting. Only after comments are received from the
Pu lic, Township Staff and requested agencies within the
ap ropriate time period, will Council make a decision on this
ap lication.
No ice of the Public Meeting was mailed out on August 10, 1990, to
al property owners within 400 feet of the subject lands.
Th Deputy Reeve then asked the Clerk if there had been any
co respondence received on this matter. The Clerk responded by
in icating that a letter had been received from the Nottawasaga
Va ley Conservation Authority, indicating they had no comment as
th s particular piece of property was outside their jurisdiction.

Th Deputy Reeve then stated that those persons present would be
af orded the opportunity of asking questions with respect to the
pr, posed Zoning By-Law Amendment.
De uty Reeve David Caldwell then turned the meeting over to the
To nship Planning Consultant, Mr. Ron Watkin, to explain the
pu pose and effect of the proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment.

The applicant has applied to rezone lands
described as Part of Lot 25, Concession
10, changing the zoning from Shoreline
Residential to the Residential General
Zone.

Providing the septic system is
appropriate, property can be zoned so
that it will be in the General
Residential permanent status. If the
application conforms to the Official
Plan, it is simply one of the procedural
aspects that the Township would take for
this type of application.
T e Deputy Reeve after enquiring and ascertaining that there were
n questions from those present, thanked those in attendance for
t eir participation and advised that Council would consider all
m tters before reaching a decision. He then advised those present
t at if they wished to be notified of the passing of the proposed
b -law, they should leave their name and address with the Clerk.
