D, puty Reeve David Caldwell chaired the meeting. ¡, D!puty Reeve David Caldwell opened the meeting by explaining to t ose present that this Public Meeting was to obtain public c mments with respect to a proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment, p rsuant to the provisions of the Planning Act, 1983, section 34 (,2). The applicant has applied to rezone certain lands described a Part of Lot 95 & 96, Plan 798, in Concession 8. T date, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro have n t made a decision on this application, other than proceeding to a Public Meeting. Only after comments are received from the P blic, Township Staff and requested agencies within the a propriate time period, will Council make a decision on this a plication. N tice of the Public Meeting was mailed out on August lO, 1990, to a 1 property owners within 400 feet of the subject lands. T e Deputy Reeve then asked the Clerk if there had been any c rrespondence received on this matter. The Clerk responded by i dicating that a letter had been received from the Nottawasaga V lley Conservation Authority, indicating they had no comment as t is particular piece of property was outside the N.V.C.A. w tershed. T e Deputy Reeve then stated that those persons present would be a forded the opportunity of asking questions with respect to the p oposed zoning By-Law Amendment. , D puty Reeve David Caldwell then turned the meeting over to the T wnship Planning Consultant, Mr. Ron Watkin, to explain the p rpose and effect of the proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment. R'n Watkin: The applicant has applied to rezone lands described as Part of Lot 95 & 96, Plan 798, Concession 8, changing the zoning from Shoreline Residential to the "II !' ,1 - 2 - Providing the septic system is appropriate, property can be zoned so that it will be in the General Residential permanent status. If the application conforms to the Official Plan, it is simply one of the procedural aspects that the Township would take for this type of application. T e Deputy Reeve after enquiring and ascertaining that there were n questions from those present, thanked those in attendance for t eir participation and advised that Council would consider all m tters before reaching a decision. He then advised those present t at if they wished to be notified of the passing of the proposed b -law, they should leave their name and address with the Clerk.
