De~uty Reeve David Caldwell chaired the meeting.
De uty Reeve David Caldwell opened the meeting by explaining to
th se present that this Public Meeting was to obtain public
co,ents with respect to a proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment,
pu suant to the provisions of the Planning Act, 1983, Section 34
(l~). The proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment would add a regulation
tOt he General provisions which would allow Accessory Uses.
To! ate, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro have
no made a decision on this application, other than proceeding to
a ublic Meeting. Only after comments are receiw"d from ti¡e
Pu ic, Township Staff and requested agencies within the
ap opriate time period, will Council make a decision on this
apIi ication.
NoJ'ce of the Public Meeting was placed in both the Barrie Examiner
an1 Orillia Packet and Times on August 14, 1990.
The Deputy Reeve then asked the Clerk if there had been any
cor espondence received on this matter. The Clerk responded by
ind cating that no correspondence had been received.
Theil Deputy Reeve then stated that those persons present would be
affrded the opportunity of asking questions with respect to the
pro osed Zoning By-Law Amendment.
Dep ty Reeve David Caldwell then turned the meeting over to the
Tow ship Planning Consultant, Mr. Ron Watkin, to explain the
pur'ose and effect of the proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment.

that it is not permitted to put a garage
with your existing residence. It was
corrected very quickly through this
process and this is the By-Law that is
before you tonight.

We are changing one section by adding an
, extra section to it. (Read from By-Law)
I This is a straight forward addition to
,',I the by-law which corrects an oversight in
: the original wording and ensures that if
J you have a residence you can certainly
put a garage on it.
T I~ Deputy Reeve after enquiring and ascertaining tha, t there were
n questions from those present, thanked those in attendance for
tt¡ ir participation and advised that Council would consider all
ma ters before reaching a decision. He then advised those present
t~ t if they wished to be notified of the passing of the proposed
blilaw, they should leave their name and address with the Clerk.
