09 17 1990 Public Minutes THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO SPECIAL PUBLIC MEETING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17,1990, @ 7:05 P.M. - COUNCIL CHAMBERS ON HUNDREDTH AND FIFTEENTH MEETING 1988-1991 COUNCIL The following members of Council were present: Reeve Robert E. Drury Deputy Reeve David Caldwell Councillor David Burton Councillor Alastair Crawford Absent: Councillor Allan Johnson Mrs. Lynda Aiken, ~¥!RO~' Campbell, Mr. S. catania, Mrs. Judy Catania, Mr. Fred Haughton, Mr. Mort Dale, Mr. Richard Mr. Earl Robertson, Mr. Henry Neufeld, Mr. Howard Campbell, Mrs. Loreen Lucas, Ms. Vivian Bell, J. Lowe, Mr. Ed Flemming, Mr. Rich Vandesande and One Member of the Press. Also Present Were: Reeve Robert E. Drury chaired the meeting. Reeve Robert E. Drury opened the meeting by explaining to those present that this Public Meeting was to obtain public comments with respect to a proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment, pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act, 1983, Section 34 (12). The applicant has applied to rezone certain lands described as Part of Lot 15, concession 8. To date, the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro have not made a decision on this application, other than proceeding to a Public Meeting. Only after comments are received from the Public, Township Staff and requested agencies within the appropriate time period, will Council make a decision on this application. Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed out on August 23, 1990, to all property owners within 400 feet of the subject lands. The Reeve then asked the Clerk if there had been any correspondence received on this matter. The Clerk responded by indicating that no correspondence had been received. The Reeve then stated that those persons present would be afforded the opportunity of asking questions with respect to the proposed zoning By-Law Amendment. Reeve Robert E. Drury then turned the meeting over to the Planner, Richard Vandesande with the firm of Ainley and Associates Limited explain the purpose and effect of the proposed zoning By-Law Amendment. Richard Vandesande: The purpose of this Public Meeting is a condition of consent. The applicant has received a conditional consent on the property. The request now is for a rezoning of the property to the Rural Residential Zone. The property has been granted a consent from the Committee of Adjustment and the conditions as a result of the consent is to rezone it to the RUR Zone. - 2 - Richard Vandesande: The property is located on Part of Lot 15 Concession 8. The Reeve after enquiring and ascertaining that there were no questions from those present, thanked those in attendance for participation and advised that Council would consider all matters before reaching a decision. He then advised those present that if they wished to be notified of the passing of the proposed by-law, they should leave their name and address with the Clerk.
