2019-055 By-law to amend By-law No. 2018-071 under Section 38 of the Planning ActThe Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte By -Law No. 2019-055 A By-law to amend By-law No. 2018-071 under Section 38 of the Planning Act Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte had on February 28, 2018 directed Township Planning Staff through Motion No. C180228-9 to undertake a study of Short Term Rental Accommodations (STRA) in order to determine whether those land use and zoning policies and provisions should be amended to address land use planning compatibility issues that were not studied at the time that the Township's Official Plan and Zoning By-law were put in place; And Whereas Council enacted By-law 2018-071 under section 38 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 3, as amended, on July 18, 2018 which by-law prohibited the use of land, buildings or structures within all lands within the municipal boundary of the Township except for such purposes as are set out in that by-law; And Whereas Council proposes to amend By-law 2018-071 as set out in this By-law; Now Therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte enacts as follows: Section 2 of By-law 2018-071 is repealed in its entirety and replaced by the following: "2. This By-law shall take effect on the final passing thereof and shall be in effect until June 19, 2020 unless otherwise extended in accordance with the provisions of the Planning Act.
