(b) Holding By-law No.2017-143 and feel it would be prudent to defer this item from this Wednesday’s Nov. 22, 2017 Council agenda. The HVPOA is requesting that the November 22, 2017 Council agenda item 17. (b) Holding by-law No. 2017-143 be deferred to the next earliest Council meeting on December 13, 2017, to enable the township and the HVPOA’s professional planner to have an opportunity for a direct dialogue consultation before the proposed by-law is brought forward to Council for adoption. The HVPOA’s professional planner is unavailable all this week at an out of town hearing. Thank you for your consideration of this deferral request. SSS has recently received $68,700 in external funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to develop a Local /ƌźƒğƷĻ /ŷğƓŭĻ !ĭƷźƚƓ tƌğƓ ΛͷtƌğƓ͸Μ͵ ŷźƭ tƌğƓ Ǟźƌƌ involve significant municipal, community and stakeholder engagement, and will lay the foundation for future SSS programs. This funding will allow SSS to hire for a new full-time 6-month Climate Coordinator position to prepare a community greenhouse gas inventory and identify actions to enhance climate change preparedness within our seven partner municipalities. SSS will continue to apply for external funding to off-set further project costs for 2018 and beyond, and to lessen the financial contribution of our municipal partners while improving our service delivery. Options for combined service delivery with the Severn Sound Environmental Association have been pursued by SSS and the SC, with the Severn Sound Environmental Association Board of Directors deferring our merger proposal for their further review in 2018. By the end of 2017, SSS will have received in-kind office space and administrative services from the staff of the North Simcoe Community Futures Development Corporation valued at $12,500 annually.
