1. OPENING OF THE MEETING BY THE DEPUTY CLERK

2. SELECTION OF CHAIRPERSON
a) Motion for Selection of a Chairperson.

It is recommended that the Chairperson for the 2013 Citizen/Senior of the Year Advisory
Group meeting be Joanna McEwen as voted by the Advisory Group.

3. ADOPTION OF AGENDA
a) Motion for Adoption of Agenda.

It is recommended that the agenda for the 2013 Citizen/Senior of the Year Advisory
Group meeting of Monday, March 25, 2013 be received and adopted.

4. ADOPTION OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:
a) Minutes of meeting held on Monday, March 26, 2012.

It is recommended that the draft minutes of the Citizen/Senior of the Year Advisory
Group meeting held on Monday, March 26, 2012 be received and adopted as printed
and circulated.

5. PRESENTATION OF NOMINATION AND DISCUSSION RE: CITIZEN OF THE
YEAR NOMINEES
a) Motion to open discussion of nominations.

It is recommended that the Advisory Group have an open discussion with respect to the
2013 Citizen of the Year nominations.

b) Motion to close discussion and commence vote of nominations.

It is recommended that the discussion with respect to the nominations for the 2013
Citizen of the Year be closed and further that the vote take place.

6. VOTING RE: ORO-MEDONTE CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
a) Motion to Council to recommend Oro-Medonte Citizen of the Year.

It is recommended to Council that Buffi Woronka be nominated as the 2013 Citizen of
the Year as voted by the Advisory Group.

b) Motion to destroy ballots.

Moved by Allan Sinton, Seconded by Bernice Gill
It is recommended that the 2013 Citizen of the Year ballots be destroyed.

or vote on this item.

It is recommended that the discussion with respect to the nominations for the 2013
Senior of the Year be closed and further that the vote take place.

8. VOTING RE: ONTARIO SENIOR OF THE YEAR
a) Motion to Council to recommend Ontario Senior of the Year.

It is recommended to Council that Pat Shellswell be nominated as the 2013 Senior of
the Year as voted by the Advisory Group.

9. NEW BUSINESS
a) Janette Teeter, Deputy Clerk, re: Review of Award Presentations.

It is recommended
1. That the verbal information presented by Janette Teeter, Deputy Clerk, re: Review of
Award Presentations be received.
2. And That it is recommended to Council that the Oro-Medonte Citizen of the Year and
Ontario Senior of the Year presentation awards are both presented during a Council
meeting with plaques/certificates and the recipients are invited to participate in the
parade and introduced on the platform at the Oro World's Fair.
