CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MEDONTE
BY-LAW 1993-27
BEING a By-law to impose a charge on lands which are assessed for the maintenance
of Municipal Drain No.7.
WHEREAS Council was requested by an assessed owner along Municipal Drain #7 to
have the drain maintained;

AND WHEREAS the cost of the maintenance of the drain was $6082.26;
AND WHEREAS the Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter D.17, authorizes Council to
levy the cost of the maintenance of a Municipal Drain to the owners assessed on the last
assessment schedule;
NOW THEREFORE, Council of the Corporation of the Township of Medonte enacts as
follows:

1)
That there is hereby charged and imposed upon the lands in the Township of Medonte
described on Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of this By-law a special rate
as shown on Schedule "A" to pay for the costs of maintenance to Municipal Drain #7.
2) That the amount imposed by this By-law shall be due and payable on the 28th Day of
January, 1994.
3) That the provisions of By-laws of the Township respecting interest payable on arrears
of taxes shall apply to assessments and rates imposed by this By-law which remain
unpaid after the due date.
READ a fIrst and second time, read a third time and passed this 13th day of December, 1993.
