1994-015 To Appoint The Chief of the Fire Department as Building Inspector Il I I I' 11 p " Ii 'I , , BY-LAW NO. 94- 15 :: Ii II il p 'i THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE BEING A BY-LAW TO APPOINT THE CHIEF OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AS BUILDING INSPECTOR Ii P " p 11 'I " WHEREAS under the Building Code Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, section 3, Subsection 1, the Council of each municipality is responsible for the enforcement of the Building Code Act within municipality. ii p " II il II , II ii ii ,I the!! il I 11 Ii Ii AND WHEREAS under the Building Code Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, II section 3, Subsection 2, the Council of a municipality shall appoin~ such inspectors as are necessary for the purposes of the enforcemen~ of the said Act in the areas in which the municipality has II jurisdiction. II if II ii AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro- Ii Medonte, in fulfilling these duties, wishes to assign specific 11 responsibility for the enforcement of the said Act, and the il regulations made thereunder (hereinafter referred to as the I "Building Code"). 1) ii II " 11 Act requires that of a Building II a Building 11 Ii p p ,I 'I I !i ii Ii 'I I Ii Ii il Ii 'I I 'I ii That the Chief of the Township of Oro-Medonte Fire Department II shall review all plans presented for the purpose of applying II fo~ a Building Permit and ap~rove such portio~s of,th~se plansll wh1ch fall under the subsect10ns of the Ontar10 BU11d1ng Code il as shown in Schedule "A" attached hereto and forming part of Ii this By-Law prior to the issuance of such permit. !I I II il AND WHEREAS the regulation under the Building Code the Fire Chief approve plans prior to the issuance Permit where such Fire Chief has been appointed as Inspector. THEREFORE the Council of the corporation of the Township of Oro- Medonte enacts as follows: That the Chief of the Township of Oro-Medonte Fire Department is hereby appointed as an Inspector pursuant to the Building Code Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, section 3, Subsection 2.
