Being a By -law to Amend By -Law No. 2013 -116,
A By -Law to Provide a Schedule of Retention Periods for the
Records of the Township of Oro - Medonte
Whereas Section 255 of the Municipal Act 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, as amended,
provides that a municipality may, subject to the approval of the municipal auditor,
establish retention periods during which the records of the municipality and local boards
of the municipality must be retained and preserved in accordance with Section 254
thereof
And Whereas the Township of Oro - Medonte did, on the 17th day of July 2013, enact
By -law No. 2013 -116, being a By -law to provide a schedule of retention periods for the
records of the Township of Oro - Medonte under the authority of The Municipal Act, S.O.
2001, c. 25, as amended;
And Whereas the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro - Medonte deems it
appropriate to amend By -law No. 2013 -116;
Now Therefore the Council of the Township of Oro - Medonte hereby enacts as follows:
That the Scope Notes for Secondary Subject — A — Administration of Schedule
"A" to By -law No. 2013 -116 be amended to read as follows;
A19 Facilities Construction and Renovations
Includes records for the planning, construction, and renovation of municipal
facilities such as fire stations, pools, office buildings, arenas, Township
owned community halls, rinks, baseball diamonds and soccer fields.
Includes site meetings, consultants' reports and cost reports, floor plans,
and engineering evaluation reports of water systems. Also includes the
monitoring and planning of renovations to buildings to confirm with
accessibility standards in current legislation relating to the accessibility of
Township owned buildings, services and information to disabled persons.
Also includes architectural and engineering drawings.
2. That the Scope Notes for Secondary Subject — M — Media and Public Relations
of Schedule "A" to By -law No. 2013 -116 be amended to add a new classification
as follows;
M12 Photo Release Forms
Includes signed Photo Release Forms for photographs that may be taken
at: camp programs, adult and kids recreation programs, local business
conferences and expos, community events, and local businesses.
3. That the Records Retention Schedule for Primary Heading: M - Media and
Public Relations of Schedule "B" of By -law No. 2013 -116 be amended to add the
following;

4. That the Records Retention Schedule for Primary Heading: A - Administration of
Schedule "B" of By -law No. 2013 -116 be amended as follows;

A20 Building and Property Maintenance 25
5. And that this by -law shall come into force and take effect on the final passing
therof.
By -law read a First, Second and Third time, and Passed this 26th day of
November, 2014.
