A By -Law to Appoint a Risk Management Official and Risk Management
Inspector for the Purpose of the Clean Water Act, 2006
WHEREAS subsection 47(1)(b) of the Clean Water Act, 2006, S.O.2006, Chapter
22 (the "Act"), provides that a municipality that has authority to pass bylaws
respecting water production, treatment and storage under the Municipal Act, 2001 is
responsible for the enforcement of Part IV of the Act in the municipality;
AND WHEREAS subsection 47(6) of the Act provides that a municipality that is
responsible for the enforcement of Part IV of the Act shall appoint a risk
management official and such risk management inspectors as are necessary for
that purpose;
AND WHEREAS the Township of Oro-Medonte has agreed that the Severn Sound
Environmental Association will provide Risk Management Services for the Township
for 2013 per Motion No. C130522-19 from the May 22, 2013 Council meeting;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-
Medonte enacts as follows:
1. That Keith Sherman of the Severn Sound Environmental Association be
appointed a risk management official/risk management inspector under
subsection 47(6) of the Act.
2. And That this by-law shall come into force and take effect on the final
passing thereof.

DAY OF JUNE, 2013.
