CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE
BY-LAW NO. 96-20
A By-Law to Appoint Representatives to various Committees and to
Repeal By-Law No. 95-06
WHEREAS the Municipal Act R.S.O. 1990, Chapter M.45, section
207(45) provides that Councils may by By-law appoint such officers
as may be necessary for the purposes of the Corporation;
AND WHEREAS the Council of The corporation of the Township of Oro-
Medonte deems it expedient to do so;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The corporation of the Township of
Oro-Medonte enacts as follows:
1. That Councillor Neil Craig shall be appointed to the
Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority, to the Shanty Bay
School & Community Centre Committee and to the Royal Victoria
Hospital Board for the term of Council.
2. That Deputy Mayor Murray Martin shall be appointed to the
Orillia & District Chamber of Commerce for the term of
Council.
3. That Councillor Larry Cotton shall be appointed to the Shanty
Bay School & Community Centre Committee and the Oro-Medonte
Planning Advisory Committee for the term of Council.
4. That Councillor Ron Sommers shall be appointed to the O.P.P.
Community policing Committee and the Oro-Medonte Recreation
Advisory Committee for the term of Council.
5. That Councillor Walter Dickie shall be appointed to the Oro-
Medonte Recreation Advisory Committee for the term of Council.
6. That Councillor Don Bell shall be appointed to the Oro-Medonte
Planning Advisory Committee for the term of Council.
7. That Mayor Ian Beard shall be appointed as ex-officio to the
Oro-Medonte Recreation Advisory and Planning Advisory
Committee for the term of Council.
8. That the above members shall be entitled to such remuneration
and expenses as provided for by By-Law.
9. That By-Law No. 95-06 is hereby repealed.
10. That this by-law shall come into full force and effect on its
final passing thereof.
